2023 Female Voice Award Winner Jodee Gibson, MA PCC

Transforming from teen mom to doctoral student, Jodee has spent the past 30 years deeply researching human behavior. Coming from a kid who barely graduated high school (0.9 GPA), her research has taken her deep into the realms of developmental psychology, neuro linguistic programming, neuroscience, professional coaching, complex trauma, human development, consciousness, yoga and the law of vibration, revealing an undeniable truth - we are all products of our environments. The foundational map that you navigate the world with is unknowingly built from your earliest (and often dysfunctional) environment, and then haphazardly, that map guides you through the rest of your life.

Hailing from a severely underperforming high school speaks directly to what’s possible once you commit your mind to something. From writing her first award-winning book to her current doctoral pursuit, her belief is that anything is possible once you heal your old story and allow room for your new one. Jodee’s focus has always been on healing versus treating. As a certified professional coach, her specialization is developmental trauma. She is currently studying under the guidance of Dr. Gabor Maté and her first book, Healing Your Map, won the 2023 IPPY Silver Medal in psychology and mental health.

Today, as a human behavior expert and master coach, her unconventional approach, pairs her experiential wisdom with her collective formal education, creating a fascinating intersection. Jodee coaches and teaches educators, coaches and healthcare practitioners worldwide how to build intentional, curated environments where people can thrive. Her goal is to create effective, sustainable change in the way we teach, parent and lead. Her notable clients have been the National Institute of Health, Google, Keller Williams and the University of Michigan.
