Man of La Mancha

Americana Theatre Company, Plymouth’s professional theatre company, presents the musical theatre classic Man of La Mancha, starring Boston television personality Scott Wahle in the dual role of Don Quixote/Cervantes, from July 7 through 29, with performances weekly from Thursday through Sunday, at Spire Center for Performing Arts, 25 ½ Court Street, Plymouth. Tickets for Man of La Mancha are $35 general admission, $30 for students and seniors. Evening performances begin at 7 pm, Sunday matinees are held at 2 pm.

Old Colony YMCA Plymouth Branch presents B-Fit Free Family Fun on Thursdays at the Plimoth Plantation Farmer's Market. Join Bridget on July 26th from 4:00-4:30pm. Open to all ages, B-Fit is a fun family friendly group workout that will get kids, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins moving. This class uses sports conditioning moves and games to improve cardiovascular endurance, agility and muscular strength. 6TH ANNUAL USA BEAT THE HEAT 5K

Proceeds from the 2018 race will benefit the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of New England

What is Prader-Willi syndrome?
PWS is a complex genetic disorder affecting appetite, growth, metabolism, cognitive function and behavior. It is typically characterized by low muscle tone, short stature (when not treated with growth hormone), incomplete sexual development, cognitive disabilities, behavioral problems, and the hallmark characteristics – chronic feelings of insatiable hunger and a slowed metabolism that can lead to excessive eating and life-threatening obesity. Those who have PWS need intervention and strict external controls, sometimes including padlocking access to food, to maintain normal weight and to help save their lives.
