You get what you give. It’s a core value at RE/MAX Nexus. That core value was recently demonstrated at the 2021 RE/MAX Nexus Children’s Miracle Network Fundraiser at TopGolf. The event was hosted by the brokerage September 19th after months of planning and preparation by a dedicated team including CMN Ambassador Linda Wells. Broker/Owner Ron Rocz says, “Linda is more than our CMN Ambassador, she is a passionate advocate for this cause and always goes above and beyond for it.” Linda brought this event to RE/MAX Nexus hoping to get more participation in order to help more children. And that she did. The fundraising team’s hard work and persistence resulted in a seemingly endless number of items for the silent auction, a 2nd floor takeover of TopGolf with 200+ in attendance, Linda selling the most raffle tickets (it’s hard to say no to her!!) and a final donation to CMN of $40,000! That money goes directly to scholarships for local children to attend the RE/MAX Communication Preschool at Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak for an entire year. The money raised will fund nearly 13 scholarships. Scholarships for children who struggle to communicate and often have multiple medical issues. Being able to articulate how they are feeling, what they are feeling and being heard and understood means more than anything to them and their families. CMN has been a cause close to Ron Rocz, Broker Owner of RE/MAX Nexus, since he joined RE/MAX. “These families have so much on their plates already. If we can take one thing away so they can get a little relief, it’s worth it. Linda and the fundraising team at Nexus are looking forward to next year’s event.
