In 2004, a small group of community volunteers got together with the idea of helping the elderly of Dripping Springs, with a focus of keeping them living independently at home. The Friends Foundation came to life in March 2004. Several years later, with the help of our members, supporters, volunteers and the community, we now have many outstanding programs which take care of our valuable senior citizens. Our Daily Bread is The Friends Foundation's flagship program along with financial assistance (income qualifying), Philips Lifeline Med-Alert and smoke alarm installation.

Comprehensive services for victims of family violence, dating violence, sexual assault and child abuse.  Services include a family violence emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, 24 hour HELPline (512-396-HELP or 4357) and 24 hour hospital response. We operate the children's advocacy center for our area, Roxanne's House, where we provide forensic interviews for children who make an outcry of abuse and provide counseling and advocacy for victims and their families.  We provide comprehensive education and prevention programs on issues of interpersonal violence. Volunteer opportunities.  Services available in Dripping Springs. Supported by donations and grants.

The mission of Helping Hands is to assist the residents of the Dripping Springs area who are experiencing food insecurity.  Since 1986 Helping Hands has operated a weekly food pantry, providing qualified clients with fresh produce, staples, and groceries. In addition, emergency financial assistance is also available on an as-needed basis.

Dripping Springs Helping Hands is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that operates solely with volunteer help and under the umbrella of the Central Texas Food Bank.
