The reason The Springs Living exists is to provide warm and comfortable communities where seniors live life to the fullest.

To us, a senior community is much more than a place to live, itÆs where people can continue doing the things they love to do and explore new activities or taste interesting foods. One way we excite residents is through our innovative approach to food that we call the ôArt of Delicious.ö ItÆs our way to enrich culinary wellness by delivering excellent dining choices, sharing knowledge of ethical food sourcing, providing nutritional tips, offering healthy choices, and rallying engagement in culinary activities. Dining is so much more than a meal on a plate. ItÆs social and it can be both delicious and nutritious.

Living well also includes many other dimensions such as fitness for the body and stimulation for the brain. In The Springs Living communities youÆll find extensive activities every day of every month. Happiness can be richer when shared with others so group activities are encouraged, however, individual attention is also in our constant repertoire.

For seniors with AlzheimerÆs disease or other forms of dementia, families find comfort in our Footsteps« memory care. Here, all the senses are engaged to provide purpose, beauty and enjoyment during this challenging life journey. We walk with families through the journey of memory loss with genuine understanding and increasing support as skills and relationships change.

United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley has evolved from its roots as a fundraising organization to a critical community convener that mobilizes local partners, including businesses, community leaders, public officials, and community members to provide opportunities for people to succeed.  We believe we can do the most good, achieving long term change, by investing in key building blocks of a good life:  Education, Financial Stability, Health, and Basic Needs.  Remove any of the building blocks and the others topple.  Build them all up, and you have a cornerstone for individual and community prosperity.

Of course, United Way can't do it alone.  We must work with our community partners.  Together, we must tap into peoples aspirations, focus on issues and underlying conditions for change, and bring people and organizations together to create community impact.

Our Focus Areas
Education û Education is essential to getting, and keeping a job with a wage that can sustain a family.
Financial Stability û Families must be able to cover their costs today, and save for the future.
Health û Good health helps kids stay on track in school, and ensures that adults can be productive at work.
Basic Needs û As a community, we must provide support for fragile individuals and families at risk of homelessness.

The Communities We Serve
United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley serves Marion, Polk, & Yamhill Counties. Our work is grounded in the diverse needs of each community we serve.
