Darke County Parks are unlike many metropolitan park systems.  Our parks have purposefully evolved to compliment our agricultural community, providing passive recreation and natural and historical education in a variety of natural settings.  Instead of ball fields and playgrounds, our parks embrace and preserve the natural habitats and cultural features that are an important and integral part of our community.  Park Areas and Facilities include:
-Shawnee Prairie Preserve and Nature Education Center/Log House Historical Education Area/Outdoor Stage/Sugar Shack/Shelter
-Coppess Nature Sanctuary/Shelter
-Alice Bish Park and Bish Discovery Center/Community Gardens
-Donna May Campbell Preserve
-Eidson Woods Preserve
-Historic Bear’s Mill
-Holzapfel Preserve
-Routzong Preserve
-Prairie Ridge Meadow and Tecumseh Point/Anthony Wayne Peace Council House/Bower Pavilion
-Tecumseh Trail Multi Use Pathway
-Turkeyfoot Preserve
-Winterrowd Wetlands
-Worth Family Nature Preserve
