Area Students Join Chamber Junior Diplomat Leadership Program

Thirty-eight area high school students were initiated into the 2021-22 City of Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce Junior Diplomat Leadership Program. The program in its' 20th year provides students an opportunity to learn about the Ridgeland business community while volunteering for various City and Chamber related events and activities. Representing Ridgeland High School are Jordan Allen; Derika Barnes; Aniya Bell; Jacob Burt; Madison Capler; Xzeria Denson; Gabrielle Funches; Poonum Gill; Mirage Giri; Alexandria Hester; Tyler Jackson; Nadeia Jones; Cemarri Kyle; Haiden Lowery; Daniel Lynn; Iliana Ontiveros; Katie Partridge; Ethan Perkins; Tyler Powe; Allen Richert; Shaurya Saini; Ashton Shelton; Maggie Sims and Jayla Travis.  Representing Jackson Academy are Addison Armstrong; Molly Baldwin; Barton Boyll; Fowler Boyll; Mary Gibson Lundy and Annalee Willson.  Representing Jackson Prep are Walker Headley; Isabella Hicks; Ewing Milam and Julia Stradinger. Students from St. Andrew's Episcopal School are Davis Cress and Connor Dunnigan and from St. Joseph Catholic School, Wils Davis and Christopher Watson.  Chosen to serve as Junior Diplomat Co-Captains are Barton Boyll, Jackson Academy; Wils Davis, St. Joseph Catholic School and Daniel Lynn and Maggie Sims, Ridgeland High School.
Serving as Co-Advisors for the Junior Diplomat Program are Allison Mayo DeWeese, Career Technical Coordinator for Holmes Community College and Jim Lowery, owner, Pear Orchard Business Center.
