Traditionally, the Fourth of July Weekend usually ends with a bang. Not this year, at least not at Barnett Reservoir where the area’s best fireworks show will be lit at 9 p.m. on Saturday July 1 over the 33,000-acre lake northeast of Jackson.
A highlight of the 5th annual Barnett Reservoir Foundation Independence Celebration and RezFest, the dual - and dueling - fireworks show will be launched from both sides of The Rez, with a patriotic music soundtrack simulcast on MISS 103 FM.... Read more

One Dog Park Opens, Another Planned at The Rez

Old Trace Dog Park was two years in the planning and funding stages, prior to construction in April and May. The Park, which includes separate fenced areas for large and small breeds, watering stations, and benches, is open to the public free of charge.
