EECU is looking for a Financial Center Consultant that will create energy and excitement around EECU products and services, providing the right solutions and the right products for our members. EECU is dedicated to delivering excellence in service and it starts with you discovering our member’s needs. The Financial Center Consultant I will rotate within the branch helping to support our members with products and services as needed. You may be the first person members meet in our branch when conducting teller transactions, but you are also the person who guides them – advising, suggestive selling and setting up their new products. Key qualifications for the Financial Center Consultant I:

  • Ability to deliver great member experiences in our environment and be invigorated by constant personal interaction.
  • Providing a complete service and sales experience for members resulting in exceeding sales goals on a monthly basis. 
  • Perform a broad variety of member service functions such as open business and consumer accounts and ability to solve operational issues and provide teller functions.
  • Proactively initiate and support marketing initiatives within the branch.
  • Responsible for building exceptional rapport with our members with providing excellence in service. 
  • Responsible for lobby coverage that includes concierge for branch, greets all members, answers calls, and assists or directs members to appropriate employees.  
  • EECU will, in compliance with applicable law, evaluate an applicant's credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions. 

 Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience:

  • Two years minimum experience in a retail or financial environment that requires excellence in service while building exceptional rapport with member/customers.
  • Strong communication skills that let you converse freely and comfortably in all interactions with members.
  • Bring enthusiasm and professionalism to EECU, with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks daily.
  • Good listener that is approachable, can problem solve and be empathetic.
  • Relevant computer skills, solid math and written communication skills.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule M-F 7:30am -6:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am - 1:00pm
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

POSITION SUMMARY
  • Manage the order book and service hauler base for an assigned territory or region. 
  • Receive orders, assemble logistics plan, schedule delivery of construction and non-construction materials, and solicit new business.
  • Ensure that correct products and quantities are delivered in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain records of daily production of orders and process accounts payable and receivable.  
  • Attract new, and maintain current hauler/carrier relationships as well as all hauler files.
 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
  1. Assemble and actively manage the ever-changing daily logistics plan for assigned territory or region.
  2. Manage all logistics and material orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Procure sufficient carriers to fulfill all delivery obligations.
  4. Sustain appropriate levels of customer contact to ensure exceptional service levels.
  5. Preserve proper levels of communication with construction aggregate order management group, sales and operations manager.
  6. Prepare and maintain delivery data, reports, and records of daily production orders.
  7. Solicit new orders/business that compliments the daily logistics plan.
  8. Maintain and improve process efficiencies.
  9. Job site visits to interact with customer contacts and carriers.
  10. Conduct quarterly quarry reviews with Vulcan stakeholders.
  11. Negotiate rates with carriers and potential dump sites.
  12. Develop annual territory budget.
  13. Conduct annual carrier meetings.
Other Requirements

Physical Requirements:  Must be able to sit for long periods; be able to use common office tools and technology, such as cell phone, office telephone, calculator, computer, and other electronic devices.  Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an automobile on a daily basis; there may be a periodic need to travel by airline.

 

Mental Requirements:  The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Need to be able to work in a stressful, deadline oriented environment that requires thinking and acting quickly and creatively to resolve problems. Memorize and recall detailed information. Communicate effectively with customers as well as truckers.  

Tools and Equipment Used:  Computers, calculator, telephones, fax machines, cell phones and automobiles.

Requirements:  
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 
Education:
  • College degree preferred, high school degree or its equivalent is required. 
Experience:
  • Three to five years experience that has included dispatching, customer relations, construction/transportation; administrative or sales experience is required.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Ability to manage multiple activities/projects concurrently. 
  • Knowledge of: construction materials and processes, weight and measure laws and regulations, truck and transportation requirements and regulations. 
  • Scheduling and organizing large numbers of people and equipment efficiently and quickly.
  • Must have skill in using computers to record information and create reports; providing excellent customer service by phone; making basic mathematical computations; reading maps. 
  • Demonstrate a dynamic personality and positive attitude with the ability to remain calm and focused in a high stress environment. 
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the vendor organizations as well as our customers organizations. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
