EECU is looking for an Accounting Payroll
Deduction Specialist who will process and coordinate member payroll deduction
deposits and ensure proper credit is received. The successful candidate will
process payroll exceptions and assist members via phone, set up payroll
deduction data processing systems and remit authorization forms to appropriate
companies. This position is responsible for communicating with various sponsor
groups and their management as required, managing the HSA payroll inbox,
communicating and working with various Select Employer Groups and EECU IT
Department to ensure payroll files are in the proper format for posting. This
position maintains and reconciles assigned bank statements and sensitive
general ledger accounts, reconciling EECU settlement account daily, posting
MasterCard and Visa settlement activity and daily manual adjustments from
credit card processor, and processing EECU payroll entries and accruals. The
candidate will be responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and
regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering,
Bank Bribery Act and NCUA Privacy Regulations. Required to attend initial and
ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
Candidates for EECU should
possess the following knowledge and experience:
accounting knowledge preferred
of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word
= Capable of
researching and understanding accounting entries
= Ten-key by
and experience to reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
customer service skills with the ability to explain and resolve issues with
members and sponsors
setting up and processing payroll deductions is preferred
detail oriented and excellent problem-solving skills
= Ability to
work within time constraints, deadlines and change of workflow
= EECU will,
in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant’s credit history.
