Quilter's Guild of Parker County February Meeting

During the February 18th meeting of the Quilter's Guild of Parker County, Suzi Parron will be giving a lecture telling the story of the “Barn Quilt” trails that have appeared in several areas of the country.  Suzi will also hold a workshop on February 20th to teach students how to make their very own “Barn Quilt”.

Weatherford Citizen Police Annual Raffle Night with Casino
February 20, 2016 will be the 15th Annual Raffle Night with Casino Games fundraiser for the WCPAAA.  This event is held each February at the Senior Center in Weatherford.  Each year the event offers blackjack, craps, roulette, bingo, Texas Hold’em, poker and prize wheels, not to mention great raffle items and food.

This year’s event will have many raffle items to choose from including, 4 to Disney Land and a host of other items.  A complete listing can be found on our website www.weatherfordcitizenpolice.org and click on the casino link, be sure to check back as the list is being updated as items arrive.

Funds from this annual event are used according to the non-profit by-laws of the group, which is in a manner to support the Weatherford Police Department.  

In 2001, the first casino night was hosted by the WCPAAA, who paid someone else to come and bring their equipment and dealers…from that event forward the WCPAAA has purchased their own equipment and provides dealers from right here in our own community.  Each year, we try to add something new and exciting.

SYNOPSIS

Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English vicarage are an American actor and actress, a cockney maid, an old maid, four men in clergyman suits, and a sedate Bishop aghast at all the goings on and the trumped up stories they tell him. Set in the 1930's and 40's, Samuel French states, "So swift is the action, so involved the situations, so rib tickling the plot in this London hit that at its finish audiences are left exhausted from laughter as though they had run a foot race."
