What you'll do as a manufacturing worker:

-Please note that this position requires regular heavy lifting and carrying of spools weighing up to 100 pounds each.

-Assist the machine operator in operating a calender machine while focusing on the wind-up end. *This is industrial-size machine with a series of hard pressure rollars that finish or smooth sheets of material*

-Watch the machine's wind-up end to make sure the materials are the right thickness and without flaws; if not, inform the machine operator

-After checking the rolls for tension and level edges, you'll wind the material onto empty spools

-Restart production by unloading and replacing full spools

-load and stage the completed spools for finishing

-Perform other duties as assigned
