The Miracle Worker by LCT
Lawton Community Theatre is proud to present "The Miracle Worker" by William Gibson! This classic tells the story of Annie Sullivan and her student, blind and mute Helen Keller. Trapped in a secret, silent world, unable to communicate, Helen is violent, spoiled, almost sub-human and treated by her family as such. Only Annie realizes that there is a mind and spirit waiting to be rescued from the dark, tortured silence. Annie's success with Helen finally comes with the utterance of a single, glorious word: "water."
Productions of Lawton Community Theatre's "The Miracle Worker" will take place Nov. 30-Dec. 2 and Dec 6-9 at the theater, 1316 NW Bell. Tickets will go on sale Nov. 9. Reservations can be made after Nov. 9 by calling 580-355-1600 or at the theater's box office, located at 1316 NW Bell.
