“Goldilocks and the Three Pigs “, by Larry Damico. Goldilocks and the three... PIGS?!!! The action in this playful romp begins with Goldilocks dashing into the house of the three Chop brothers. Toss into this hilarious fractured fairy tale the Big Bad Wolf, his French weasel friend Oui Oui, two very different witches (who won’t leave you asking “Which witch?”), and one very confused — and somewhat snooty — storyteller and watch the mayhem that ensues! This is a delightful take on a couple of old storybook standbys full of energy and enough humor and adventure for children of all ages! It is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colorado. The production is presented by the award-winning Lawton Community Theater – celebrating their 66th year!
The project is supported in part by
the Oklahoma Arts Council, which receives support from the State of Oklahoma
and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support from the McMahon
Auditorium Authority, Lawton Community Theater and the City of Lawton allows
Lawton Arts & Humanities Council to offer this special rate.
The Oklahoma Arts Council is the
official state agency for the support and development of the arts. The agency’s
mission is to lead in the advancement of Oklahoma’s thriving arts industry. The
Oklahoma Arts Council provides approximately 500 grants to almost 250
organizations in communities statewide each year, organizes professional
development opportunities for the state’s arts and cultural industry, and
manages hundreds of works of art in the public spaces of the state Capitol.
