Covid-19 Food Drive for Local Organizations
Birmingham and Berkley First United Methodist Churches are holding an all-community food drive to benefit local organizations until May 21, 2020. While the spread of COVID-19 may be slowing, the needs of the community are not. Organizations that will benefit from this food drive include:
Each organization has been contacted to determine their most critical needs at this time. Requests range from non-perishable food to cleaning supplies and face masks. A detailed list for each organization can be found at food4covid19.com.
Items may be dropped off at the Birmingham First United Methodist Church main entrance anytime between now and Thursday, May 21. Please adhere to the critical social distancing guidelines below.
Critical Social Distancing Guidelines
All persons participating in the drive must adhere to social distancing guidelines (keeping at least 6 feet between yourself and others) and no one should come to the church who is experiencing any symptoms of ill health. This is a drive-by, drop, and go event. Only one person may be out of their car at a time. No one is allowed to gather at the drop off location.
