Books & Bites At Baldwin
Books & Bites at Baldwin, the annual fundraising event of the Baldwin Public Library, will return for its third year on Thursday evening, November 21, 6-9 p.m. in the library's historic Grand Hall.
The event will provide a strolling dinner prepared by some of our finest area restaurants and caterers, a selection of beers and wines, live music, and a chance-style auction. The proceeds will benefit the library's outreach programs, which target children and adults with different learning styles, special physical needs and limited language skills.

Birmingham Tree Lighting
Get in the Christmas spirit as we light up the town at the Birmingham Tree Lighting event on Wednesday, November 27 at 6 p.m. in Shain Park. On the eve of Thanksgiving, the community will again come together with Santa and Birmingham’s Mayor for live caroling and the lighting of a 35-foot blue spruce with more than 20,000 LED lights built in!
Immediately following the tree lighting, Santa’s quaint “home” in Shain Park (in a new location this year - under the pavilion in Shain Park) will open for the season. Children will be delighted to meet Santa, give him their list and have their picture taken. The Birmingham Lions Club will take photos with Santa for $5. Donations go to Leader Dogs for the Blind. Or, bring your own camera to capture the moment!
Don't forget to catch a free horse-drawn carriage ride! It's a lovely way to enjoy the holiday lights as you make your way through Downtown Birmingham.

The Santa House will open at 7 p.m. following the Tree Lighting Ceremony in Shain Park on November 27. Look for Santa's house in a new location – under the pavilion in Shain Park. 5th Annual Athletes Adopting Families hosted by Stephen Tulloch. Presented by the Detroit Lions and JWI Associates.
Stephen has teamed up with Angels of Hope, A Family Cancer Foundation to raise funds for Metro Detroit families for the holidays and for families who have been affected by cancer.
