Join us for our annual Walk to Defeat ALS in the Salisbury Community on Saturday, April 16th!
The ALS Association DC/MD/VA Chapter serves over 600 patients living with ALS and their families. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a disease that is 100% fatal, and robs the individual with their ability to walk, speak, swallow, and even breathe.
Each year about 300 individuals, community leaders, and
corporations come together to join efforts to fight against this disease and
raise funds to continue support our chapter's free services and program to
those affected by ALS. All funds raised from our walk directly support the
free programs and services we provide to individuals and their famiies affect
by ALS. From support groups, assistive technology to communicate, transportation/respite
grants, and medical equipment our organization works tirelessly to ensure
people living with ALS live as comfortably as possible.
Join our team or start your own, and come enjoy activities for all ages, food, and music to enhance our walk's spirit. Join us and the 300+ walk participants and show your commitment to the Salisbury Community. All ages welcomed to participate!
