Women Supporting Women is hosting its 16th Annual Walk for Awareness on October 14, 2017 at Winterplace Park in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Registration is available for individuals, teams and even your favorite canine.  Each captain is responsible to recruit and register at least 4 or more individuals to walk together as a team. Teams can be made up of family and friends, schools, clubs or other youth groups, churches or co-workers. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate.

Opening Reception October 14, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The crisp, clear fall air and beautiful grounds of the museum will once again set the stage for a day of excitement, anticipation, and socialization among decoy collectors and carvers from across the country. Chesapeake Wildfowl Expo pays tribute to decoys from the past while encouraging the carving of new ones. Admission to the event and museum is free! Registration begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday followed by the Competition.

Harbor Pointe is Hosting a Health Fair for the community. Wicomico Health Department will be giving $20.00 flu shots, PRMC will be doing several screenings from Diabetes to BMI. Many Health Care industries will be providing many different sevices from health education, what servies our pharmacies offer, hearing and vision screening. The list goes on

The Village at Harbor Pointe invites you to our Health Fair. Join us for an educational afternoon where you'll have the opportunity to receive a variety of health screenings so you can make sure you're in tip-top shape.

Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance program, Hearing, Diabetes, Stoke, Bone Density, Women's Health, BMI Screenings, Memory Care , Pharmacies, Flu Shots, COPD....  

November is Native American Heritage Month and the Ward Museum is hosting a FREE-to-the-public celebration led by American Indian tribes indigenous to Delmarva. Come learn about Native culture on the Eastern Shore from members of Delmarva tribes, and other Native Americans living on the Shore. This event coincides with third Saturday Drop In Art and features family-friendly crafts, led by members of the Accohannock tribe.

Blind Industries & Services of Maryland (BISM) 9th Annual Gospel Night to support Blind & Low Vision Senior Adults on the Eastern Shore

ALL are Welcome for this free concert and community event!

Free Admission  Gospel and Church Choirs from our community plus youth groups, soloists, duets, praise dancers and instrumentalists will perform. A love offering will be collected and homemade baked goods will be sold.

Enjoy a memorable evening of music & fellowship.

Enjoy an evening of food, music, art and silent auction. This special fundraiser dinner will be used to raise funds for the museum and its educational and outreach efforts. Your ticket includes your meal, appetizers, beer, wine, tea and dessert bar.

$85 Ward Museum members, $100 non-member, table of 9 $750. Sponsorships available.

Volunteers check in at 8:30 am and finish by noon. Check in at 704 Westover Drive. Look for the tent and balloons.

A thank you lunch will be provided at 11:30 pm. The first 50 volunteers who sign up will receive a t-shirt. (Be sure to add a t-shirt when you check out!)

When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.
