Shore Grace Family Wellness has partnered with 2020Mom.org to bring awareness to Maternal Mental Health by hosting our first Eastern Shore Colorwalk

The ColorWalk is for survivors, families, those working with pregnant & postpartum women, and those who want to raise awareness for maternal mental health. We are looking for passionate business owners, community officials, doctors offices and brave families to help us bring color back to motherhood

Strollers are welcome. Please wear WHITE so that we can get colored with color dust!

Honor our nation’s fallen heroes this Memorial Day weekend by participating in the Run To Remember Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk at WinterPlace Park. The 2019 race is set for Saturday, May 25, 2019.

Proceeds benefit the Wicomico War Veterans' Memorial at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, which honors the citizens of Wicomico County who lost their lives while serving the United States during war

DILA's 1st Annual BINGO

DILA's is holding it's 1st annual BINGO on Saturday, June 1 at the Salisbury Moose Lodge, 833 Snow Hill Rd. Doors will open at 5p and games starting at 6:30.  There will also be a silent auction and raffles to raise funds to support the agency's programs and services that are provided to individuals that are deaf and hard of hearing with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities to be able to fully participate in all aspects of community life and experiences that they might not otherwise be able to without your much needed support.  DILA serves Maryland's nine Eastern Shore Counties. Prizes will be a split between cash and gift cards/baskets. Visits with the U.S. Presidential Candidates Series

Salisbury University’s Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE), the Greater Salisbury Committee and the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce bring U.S. presidential hopefuls to the Eastern Shore through a new series, “Visits with the U.S. Presidential Candidates.”

The first guest is former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

Weld, who ran for vice president on the Libertarian ticket in 2016, is the first Republican to announce he will challenge President Donald Trump in the 2020 primary. He served as governor of Massachusetts from 1991-97.

The New York native is a member of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations and an associate member of the InterAction Council of Former Heads of State and Government. He currently is a partner at the Boston law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo.

Guests in the series will answer questions from a moderator, as well as the audience. Designated parking is in Camden Avenue Parking Lot F (Blackwell Hall Lot). Overflow parking will be in Dogwood Drive Parking Lot D (Guerreiri Student Union Lot).

Bingomania, the Eastern Shore’s largest bingo cash prize event, returns to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on Saturday, June 8.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for early bird games, and regular games begin at 7:30 p.m.  

Tickets are $45 per person in advance and $55 per person at the door; fees may apply to ticket prices.

All proceeds benefit the Mardela Middle and High School Bands.

Deaf Community Night with the Shorebirds

Come join Deaf Independent Living Association and the Deaf Community on June 8 for a night of action packed baseball between the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Hagerstown Suns. This is a Maryland's Governor Cup Game and there will be a guest speaker from Washington Redskins Alumni Gary Clark.  Interpreter will be provided for that night but tickets must be purchased from DILA by May 15.
