Care for the Cause, A "Free" Community Fundraising Event

Care for the Cause, is an annual fundraiser supporting Salisbury Urban Ministries (SUM). Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to a free-will offering to support SUM's community outreach programs (Lazarus Food Pantry, Prescription Assistance Program, Kid's Café, Men's Welcome Center, and God's Kitchen). Come and enjoy  an afternoon of music, entertainment, and refreshments.

The Elks are a nation-wide fraternal organization of well over 1.2 million American citizens. Elks Lodges bring so much more to their communities than just a building, golf course or pool. They are places where neighbors come together, families share meals, and children grow up.

What does Medicare cover? How and when should you apply for Medicare? This information – and much more – will be offered in MAC’s free Aging into Medicare class, to be held Friday, March 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. at MAC.
The class will be presented in partnership with Peninsula Home Care.

Hop in for our St. Patrick's Day inspired finger-paint party! The event takes about 1 hour. It includes all art supplies, step-by-step instructions and then a cup of sweetFrog to celebrate your masterpiece! (Only one visit to the toppings bar.) Both adults and children are welcome to participate.

We will begin the painting class promptly at 2:00pm. This is not a drop off event, children must be accompanied by one adult.

Although walk-ins are welcome, a minimum number of online or in-store ticket sales must be purchased prior to the day of the event, or the event will be canceled.

Hop in for a Free Craft! We will have craft kits available all day for your kiddo to plant their own flower and take it home! (While supplies last) While you're here enjoy a sweet treat!

This is not a drop off event and an adult must remain with each child. 

Hop on in with your little froggers for a sweet Bed Time Story from 6:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. on Wednesday 3/15/23! This month's stories include, How to Catch a Leprechaun, The Lorax, and Little Blue Truck's Springtime.

After the stories, children can get a $4 kids cup of yogurt. What a sweet story with a happy ending!! 

The March General Membership Luncheon will feature Salisbury Mayor Jack Heath. Salisbury's 28th Mayor, Heath, was appointed to City Council in 2014 and was elected Council President in 2015.

Before his tenure on City Council, he worked for over 35 years in manufacturing across various positions. Heath served as President and CEO for Arkwright Inc., a $160 million manufacturing division of the multi-national Dutch Company, OCE. Upon his retirement, he became CEO of Lower Shore Enterprises in Salisbury, Maryland.
