2021 Job and Career Fair

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lower Shore American Job Center are proud to host their annual regional Job and Career Fair every fall at the Centre at Salisbury.

This year’s fair, presented by Quality Staffing Services, will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

The regional Job and Career Fair is FREE for attendees and open to the community.

Over 65 employers participate in the Job & Career Fair, and approximately 2000 job seekers attend the event. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, extra safety measures will be implemented as outlined below.

Any business seeking employees in the Lower Shore region is encouraged to participate, regardless of company size. The Job & Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for employers to meet face-to-face with prospective employees. Booths will be safely distanced throughout the main corridors of the mall, providing maximum exposure for businesses to all mall visitors and potential employees.

Job seekers will have direct access to hundreds of job openings in a wide range of industries.  Participants are encouraged to come dressed for success and bring multiple copies of their resumé for distribution to prospective employers. Resumé assistance will be available at the event, without charge.

Premium sponsorships are available for $500, and booth space is available for $125.

The SACC October General Membership Luncheon will feature the annual Delmarva Mayoral Forum.

Mayors from cities in Delaware, Virginia and Maryland will participate on a panel to address challenges and success stories from each of their respective jurisdictions.

This is a luncheon event and begins at 11:30 AM on October 21, 2021 at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury Maryland.

Tickets are $25 for members, $35 for future members

You can prevent falls!

   Stepping On is a free 7-week workshop proven to reduce falls in older adults. The workshop features strength and balance exercises taught along with other strategies to build confidence and to prevent falls inside and outside the home. 

MAC will offer a free virtual workshop beginning Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 1 to 3 pm.

The SACC Annual Awards event recognizes and honors the achievements and efforts of outstanding leaders of the Delmarva area. This is an opportunity to network and celebrate the amazing achievements of our member businesses, community partners, and individuals.

This award will be given to an individual, organization, or business that championed significant impacts throughout the pandemic which contributed to assisting businesses, impacts on public health, safety, and education.

SACC-YPs is designed for professionals ages 21-35.

The 35th Annual Christmas Gift & Craft Show, sponsored by the Quota Club of Salisbury, will return to the Wicomico Civic Center for one day only on Saturday, Oct. 30. The show is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $5, and children ages 5 and under are admitted free. 

The show features numerous unique crafters and local vendors with a variety of items for sale, including toys, ceramics, clothing, candles, flower arrangements and jewelry. 

The Christmas Gift & Craft Show serves as the Quota Club of Salisbury’s annual fundraiser. All proceeds from the event are used to serve the local community, with a focus on women, children, the deaf, hard of hearing and speech impaired.
