Wor-Wic Community College is offering “Introduction to QuickBooks 2019” in an online format. This six-week course begins June 17, with additional start dates of July 15, Aug. 12 and Sept. 16.

Topics include how to set up a chart of accounts; create and print invoices, receipts and statements; track payables, inventory and receivables, and generate reports.

Over the past several months, the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued on-going guidance to employers regarding COVID-19 safety requirements in the workplace.  These requirements affect ALL places of employment, including, but not limited to offices, restaurants, medical facilities and construction sites.  Employers must be informed and prepared to abide by these standards.

 

Join us for a webinar led by Chuck Northam, Principal Consultant/Managing Member for Safety Resources, LLC to learn:

 

  • OSHA’s legal requirements regarding the COVID-19 pandemic including the General Duty Clause and Respiratory Protection Standard

PRMC Telehealth Diabetes Class Series

PRMC Nutrition & Diabetes Education is offering Telehealth Diabetes classes.  The class series is four weeks, available in the evening and provides information on healthy eating, diabetes medications, feelings, food, physical activity, foot care, blood glucose monitoring, and other self-management skills to help people with diabetes control their disease.  You are welcome to include a family member or support person as we understand it takes a team to manage diabetes.  To register for these telehealth classes, contact 410-543-7061.

Your day will start with breakfast and registration at the Tidewater in Easton, MD. You will then head out on one of two routes: to St. Michael’s, MD or Chestertown, MD, where you will spend the day discovering new eateries and great local craft drinks – wine, beer, rum, and more!

Girls Innovation Academy:Future World Leaders:Global Journey

What is it like to live and work in another country? Have you dreamed about traveling and moving halfway around the world? This Academy will bring together participants to explore international relations, diplomacy, the changing world, and the United Nations. Participants will be able to act as delegates for a country of their choice, learn new cultures, create a passport, learn how to pack for international travel, and much more.

SU faculty and United Nations’ expert Dr. Brittany Foutz invites GIA students to immerse themselves in the exciting, challenging complexities of world affairs and develop their self-concept and identity as global citizens. In a fun and engaging environment, students will “adopt” a country and explore the dynamics of international leadership including understanding cultural differences and being aware of different values, beliefs, and perceptions.
