Wor-Wic Community College is offering “Introduction to QuickBooks 2019” in an online format. This six-week course begins June 17, with additional start dates of July 15, Aug. 12 and Sept. 16.

Topics include how to set up a chart of accounts; create and print invoices, receipts and statements; track payables, inventory and receivables, and generate reports.

Over the past several months, the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued on-going guidance to employers regarding COVID-19 safety requirements in the workplace.  These requirements affect ALL places of employment, including, but not limited to offices, restaurants, medical facilities and construction sites.  Employers must be informed and prepared to abide by these standards.

Join a different artist every 3^rd Saturday for this FREE family art program that is fun for all ages. Families can pop in to make and take a fun art creation. Explore the best the Mid-Shore has to offer! Held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, Tap the Shore is an all-day event that taps into local food and craft beverage scene.

Your day will start with breakfast and registration at the Tidewater in Easton, MD. You will then head out on one of two routes: to St. Michael’s, MD or Chestertown, MD, where you will spend the day discovering new eateries and great local craft drinks – wine, beer, rum, and more!

Later, you will meet up in Easton, MD to indulge in our chef’s expertly prepared five-course dinner featuring ingredients from each stop highlighted on the tour.

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Participation in the Woodcarving Club is FREE!
Participants must also be current members of the Ward Museum.
Members must bring own materials to Carving Club.
Guests are permitted and their first visit to the club is free.
After the first visit, guests must become members of the Ward Museum.

Founded in 1959, the Wicomico Yacht Club (WYC) is a members only club that brings the boating community together for comradery, community outreach, and fun events. Known for their annual Christmas Boat Parade and delivering thousands of Toys for Tots each holiday season, the WYC has so much more to offer!

What is it like to live and work in another country? Have you dreamed about traveling and moving halfway around the world? This Academy will bring together participants to explore international relations, diplomacy, the changing world, and the United Nations. Participants will be able to act as delegates for a country of their choice, learn new cultures, create a passport, learn how to pack for international travel, and much more.

SU faculty and United Nations’ expert Dr. Brittany Foutz invites GIA students to immerse themselves in the exciting, challenging complexities of world affairs and develop their self-concept and identity as global citizens. In a fun and engaging environment, students will “adopt” a country and explore the dynamics of international leadership including understanding cultural differences and being aware of different values, beliefs, and perceptions.
