Troy Community Foundation awards $7,500 to local organizations

The Troy Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $7,500 to the following organizations as awardees of their Fall 2021 grant cycle:  Arc of Oakland County, Boys & Girls Club of Troy, Community Housing Network, FIRST FRC Robotics Team 226 Hammerhead, MI Youth Volunteering Alliance, NoteABLE Youth Ensemble, Oakland Literacy Council, Troy Community Coalition, Troy People Concerned, Troy Historical Society, Troy Nature Society and Troy Public Library.



Successful application awards will fund a variety of local projects, including an adaptive fitness program that trains individuals of all abilities, the purchase of STEAM program supplies for a FIRST FRC high school robotics team, a music experience program for youth with special needs, a summer camp for at-risk kids in Troy, a holiday food and gift card program for Troy residents in crisis and free Little Libraries around town.

 

“We are pleased to announce our Fall 2021 grant awards totaling $7,500 to organizations serving Troy.  It is our privilege to fund these amazing programs, and we look forward to sharing the local impact these projects will have on the quality of life for residents in the City of Troy,” said Karen Greenwood, Chair of the Troy Community Foundation board.

 

Additionally, the Troy Community Foundation has opened up the application period for their Spring 2022 grant cycle.  Grants from the Troy Community Foundation are available in 4 key areas: Youth & SeniorsArts & CultureBeautification, and Health & Recreation.  Detailed information and the grant application packet are available at www.TroyCF.org/grants; the deadline is March 31, 2022.
