WHAT: “Squish Out Cancer” is a plush toy community gifting collection, presented by Cornerstone Community Financial (CCF), to support patients at DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan. This is CCF’s 7th annual gifting partnership with Children’s Hospital, in support of September’s Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, a new item is selected for collection and donation.
To support Squish Out Cancer, CCF is asking its members and the community-at-large to join the Squish Squad and purchase a variety of Squishmallow plush toys, selected by the teams at Children's Hospital of Michigan. The public “Wish List” gift registries are available on Amazon.com, Target.com and Walmart.com, with items available for purchase starting as low as $6.
CCF will then match every public Squishmallow gift purchase,
item-for-item.
With Squish Out Cancer, CCF plans to donate and deliver at
least 500 new Squishmallows to patients at Children's Hospital of Michigan
locations in Detroit and Troy, where they will be distributed to inpatient
units, playrooms, waiting areas and patient gift closets.
