AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Receives an ‘A’ for Patient Safety in the Spring 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission was awarded an ‘A’ from The Leapfrog Group’s spring 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. The designation recognizes AdventHealth Shawnee Mission’s efforts in protecting patients from harm and providing safer health care. The Leapfrog Group is a national nonprofit organization committed to improving health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. The Safety Grade assigns an ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ or ‘F’ grade to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections and other harms to patients in their care.
“We are honored to have earned our 14th consecutive ‘A’ grade from Leapfrog,” said Lori Cue, administrative director of quality and safety for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. “This recognition energizes our team during an incredibly challenging time, and is a testament to our commitment to provide safe and quality care as we continue our focus on whole person care – for each patient’s body, mind and spirit.”
