Development Chenango Corporation Provides Business Expansion Funding

 

Beers Rentals, LLC to Renovate City of Norwich Building

 

Development Chenango Corporation (DCC), the Economic Development arm of Chenango County and part of Commerce Chenango, Inc. recently provided Beers Rentals, LLC with funding for renovations at 11 South Broad Street in the City of Norwich.

 

DCC Executive Director and Commerce Chenango President & CEO, Kerri Green said, “The Business Assistance Loan Fund (BALF) is a way that Development Chenango Corporation can provide funding to Chenango County businesses to encourage growth, innovation, job creation and to address needs of our communities. The ability to help fund these building renovations will not only support a successful business owner, but will provide housing for our young professional sector and will enhance the building itself. We appreciate the continued investment that Melissa Beers is making to Chenango County and the City of Norwich. We look forward to her future success and growth.”

 

Melissa Beers shared that “the DCC loan will be used to do a complete renovation of the 3rd floor located at 11 South Broad Street. It will be a large one-bedroom apartment when completed including a new heating and a/c unit. I will also use the funds to revamp the outside of the building with all new windows, electric, restoration of the front doors and the addition of new paint. I would like to thank Kerri Green and Commence Chenango for making these funds available to help businesses out during the pandemic. Due to a low interest rate and a 10-year payback plan it makes it affordable for everyone.”

 

A new loan opportunity for Chenango County businesses needing financial help amid the COVID-19 pandemic is also available. The loan funds, with a maximum amount of $25,000 per project, can be used to reopen your business, hire back employees, replenish your inventory, or for working capital.
