On Saturday, June 3rd, Ridgeland Recreation & Parks will host the 32nd annual Heatwave Classic Triathlon. Some of the finest athletes from the Southeastern United States will converge on Ridgeland, Mississippi to compete in the triathlon, an event sanctioned by the U.S.A. Triathlon. Participants return each year because they love the race course.

This year's race will consist of a ½ mile swim in the Ross Barnett Reservoir, a 27 ½ mile bike ride along the scenic and historic Natchez Trace Parkway, and ending with a 10K run along Ridgeland's heavily shaded Multi-Purpose Trail.
