Many nonprofit professionals feel overwhelmed by their jobs and family responsibilities -- and self-care often ends up at the bottom of the list.  The COVID-19 global pandemic has amplified the need for frontline and direct response workers to fulfill the medical, mental and social health, and physical needs of individuals throughout our communities.  Those working directly with vulnerable populations are falling prey to high levels of clinical anxiety and depression, and in some cases compassion fatigue. 

Come learn what the research says about self-care for caregivers and professionals. Additionally, we’ll look at ways to bolster your own resilience and immunity when your job puts you in the position of being needed by others - often and intensely. The end of the session will be 10 minutes of meditation and chair yoga to experience first-hand how to relax and lower your stress.
