The City of Prairie Village will host two community visioning workshops in September as part of the City’s efforts to update Village Vision – the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
The original Village Vision was adopted in 2007 and contains recommendations on issues ranging from redevelopment, to land use, to parks. Many of the goals and implementation strategies have either been accomplished or are in need of some refreshing. With the community’s help, the City is now working to establish Village Vision 2.0 – an updated plan that will serve as a guide for the next 20 years.
Residents interested in sharing their vision for the future of Prairie Village are invited to attend a community visioning workshop on either September 9 or September 12. Both workshops will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Meadowbrook Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Avenue.
The agenda for the community visioning workshops is as follows:
5:30 PM Refreshments and Introductions
6:00 PM Presentation
6:15 PM Roundtable Discussion Activity #1
6:35 PM Roundtable Discussion Activity #2
7:00 PM Wrap-Up and Dot Poll
An online survey will be available beginning September 9 for those who are unable to attend either session.
