Railroad Author Don L. Hofsommer to present "Puddlejumpers"
Boone, IA - National Railroad author, historian and speaker will present the program Puddlejumpers, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2 pm at the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum, 225 10th. St. in Boone, Iowa. Don will present this free illustrated powerpoint program, “live” in person, and ZOOM program on important aspects of railroad Doodlebugs (gas-electrics). His program will cover their inception, their contribution to Iowa railroads, as well as their lasting impact. “One would find gas-electrics in all corners of Iowa during their heyday,” Hofsommer said.
