The piles of snow outside the window may be deceiving, but spring is on the way and the Heritage Players are ramping up for a summer show that can be enjoyed by the entire family! This summer the local community theater group will produce Hello, Dolly! by Jerry Herman. The story of Dolly Levi, a widow, a matchmaker, and also a professional meddler – but everything changes when she decides that the next match she needs to make is to find someone for herself. Set in New York City at the turn of the century, Hello Dolly! is boisterous and charming from start to finish.
The summer show will be directed by Rachel Bigelow, with music direction by Jennifer Krinke. “I am so excited to be directing this year’s show,” says Bigelow. “Hello, Dolly! is a classic show with amazing characters and memorable songs. Our communities have some talented actors and actresses and I look forward to seeing all of them at auditions!”
Auditions for the show will be held on Sunday, May 5th and Tuesday, May 7th at the Pine City High School Auditorium. Those interested in auditioning should sign-up for their preferred audition date as there are just
25 slots available for each night. Auditions will be open for anyone ages 13 and above. Visit www.pinecityheritageplayers.com for the sign-up information and details on how to prepare for the audition.
