A diverse vendor market will be on site with traditional and handmade goods including art, jewelry, and sweet treats. Attendees can also look forward to enjoying cultural performance by community partners, including the UTRGV Ballet Folklorico, Mission Parks & Recreation Folklorico, and Nikki Rowe Mariachi.

"We are thrilled to present an exceptional lineup of performances for our community, showcasing the remarkable talents of young performers from the Rio Grande Valley," stated Roni Cortez, Interim Director of Education. "Experiences of this caliber offer a culturally enriching and memorable event for all our visitors, contributing significantly to the success of our Día De Los Muertos festivities."

This year’s community altar display is honoring Innovative Latinos. Community members and organizations were invited to create an altar dedicated to those that greatly influenced their communities in the fields of science, art and culture. Altars will be on view in the museum’s Discovery Pavilion from Saturday, October 7, through Sunday, November 5.
