Our mission at the Chisholm Trail Historical Preservation Society is simple: To preserve the history of and educate the public with respect to the history and times of the Chisholm Trail, and the events and lifestyles of the pioneers who traveled and lived along the path of the Trail.

The Yukon Veterans Museum (Y.V.M.) has been in existence for five years and is one of four museums located in Yukon, OK.  The Museum is the largest of the two Canadian County military museums and can be honestly rated in the top five of military museums in the state.  Exhibits include artifacts from the Civil War and all wars and police actions that followed, up to the current "Operation Enduring Freedom".

In the beginning, the Museum was the result of the hard work of our Curator Rick Cacini and Co-Curator Tom Thomas.  Today the Museum functions on the hard work and dedication of a large number of veterans and civilian volunteers.  Y.V.M. was the First Place Winner for "Outstanding Exhibit" from the Central Oklahoma Frontier Country 2018 Annual Tourism Awards.  It also serves as a Veterans Service Center on a regular basis.

The Museum has a gift shop that offers hats, shirts, hoodies, patriotic pillows, books, coffee mugs, and other great gift ideas.  It has on of the widest range of artifacts that the eye can endure.

Operating hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 12:00-5:00pm, and admission is free.  Special showings are available by appointment by calling:
