Typical Daily Tasks
Interacting with MEC clientele and conference center staff.
Reading and interpreting Banquet Event Orders.
Physical setup of conference room tables and chairs for day and evening classes.
Monitoring and adjusting facility heating, cooling, and lighting systems.
Setting up and testing of classroom instructional equipment including computers, projectors, monitors, cameras, sound systems, microphones, and similar equipment.
Greeting and assisting clients with setting up, testing and use of technology.
Operating videoconference camera and sound equipment for Zoom and MS Teams sessions.
Monitoring and adjusting of lecture capture recording systems.
Organizing and maintaining technology equipment.
Daily administrative tasks including light cleaning and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
This position requires individuals to have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for excellent customer service. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and be willing to learn classroom technology. Training and support will be provided. Candidates will be required to regularly perform physical work and be able to lift heavy items including tables, chairs, AV equipment, boxes
