Camp Denali is a fly-in wilderness lodge in the heart of Denali National Park. Nineteen guest cabins are privately nestled along a tundra and boreal forest ridgeline, each with a picture-window view of Denali. An uphill stroll leads to our timber frame dining room and historic log lodge. Daily naturalist-led hikes immerse you in the wilderness and wildlife of Denali. Gathering at long tables for meals fosters community and camaraderie. Camp Denali remains what our founders envisioned 70 years ago, a place that doesn’t insulate you from the wilderness you came to explore.

Denali Backcountry Lodge will be like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. With the partial closure of Denali Park Road, our all-inclusive lodge is now only accessible by helicopter, providing a limited number of guests with the rare opportunity to experience this incredible part of the world in true seclusion.

The Kantishna Roadhouse is an all-inclusive historic lodge located deep in the heart of Alaska’s majestic Denali National Park & Preserve.  

The original Roadhouse at Kantishna was built in 1918, and served as a private residence, a community center, post office and informal hotel accommodations. Many nights were spent spinning tales of the Alaskan trail over a hot cup of coffee and a hearty meal. You can still see the “original” Roadhouse and other remnants of the past around our property.

A Unique Day Trip Into Denali National Park

We invite you to hop aboard a Cessna 206 single-engine aircraft with no more than four fellow adventurers for an once-in-a-lifetime 35 minute flightseeing tour into the heart of Denali National Park.

Upon landing you’ll board a shuttle into the historic gold mining district of Kantishna for a day of exploration, sightseeing, and activities of your choice.

We are a guided hiking company operating both inside and outside the park. We operate tours ranging in length from 3 hours to 12 hours with a focus on education about the Park's ecology, geology, history, and much more. We have a high standard for safety, requiring all of our guides to be certified Wilderness First Responders and to carry GPS and SOS devices on every hike. We also seek to give back, donating 5% of our net profits towards conservation in the areas we guide.

We are family owned and operated by Udo and Tonya Cassee. Based out of Talkeetna, Alaska our primary focus is providing flight seeing, charter, and Expedition support flights into the Denali National Park. We also provide charter flights throughout the State, and customized flight adventures during the famous Iditarod dog race in March.
