Training sled dogs is a year-round affair for four-time Iditarod champion Jeff King. He is is recognized as the “Winningest Musher in the World.” His victories include not only the 1,049 mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race in 1993, 1996, 1998, and 2006, but also over two dozen first place finishes in races all across Alaska. Each summer we share the world’s finest sled dogs and puppies with visitors world wide at our location in Denali Park, Alaska.

The Kantishna Gallery is nestled in the foothills of Denali.   We strive to provide our visitors with a relaxed, tasteful shopping experience.   Everything is Alaskan made and the variety of art stems from pottery, paintings, wood work, jewelry, t-shirts to photography, and so much more.   We feature artwork from Brecht Studio.   Artist Connie Engelbrecht will be featuring many one-of-a-kind pieces in our gallery.   Partnered with her son Justin, the team works in collaboration to create unique functional art.

The Kantishna Roadhouse is an all-inclusive historic lodge located deep in the heart of Alaska’s majestic Denali National Park & Preserve.  

The original Roadhouse at Kantishna was built in 1918, and served as a private residence, a community center, post office and informal hotel accommodations. Many nights were spent spinning tales of the Alaskan trail over a hot cup of coffee and a hearty meal. You can still see the “original” Roadhouse and other remnants of the past around our property.

At Moon Dog Kennel, we offer guests an immersive summer experience. On our hour long guided tundra walk, guests will be accompanied by and have the opportunity to interact with free running, friendly Alaskan huskies. Guests will learn about life in Denali, local flora and fauna, park history and the connection that humans, canines and the land all share.
