Spencer T. Olin, a nearly 7,000 yd. 18-Hole Championship layout and 9-Hole Learning Center, provide schallenges, opportunities, and fun for golfers of all skill levels.

Spencer T. Olin Golf Course is approximately 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis in the 750-acre Gordon F. Moore Community Park.  Arnold Palmer designed this course layout at the request of his lifelong friend of over forty years, Spencer T. Olin, founder of Olin Industries.  Mr. Palmer’s goal was to design a course challenging enough for the skilled golfer, but yet enjoyable for the average golfer.  As a testament to these “Palmer” standards, Spencer T. Olin hosted the 1996 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Link Championship, the ESPN televised 1999 U.S. Men’s Amateur Public Links Championship,  Web.Com Tour (KornFerry Tour) Qualifying, U.S. Amateur Qualifying, and the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association’s East Side Amateur Championship.

Amy Elik was first elected to the Illinois House in November 2020, and then re-elected two years later. Elik represents the 111th District, which is located in Madison County. Elik, a lifelong resident of Madison County, has worked for 28 years as a Certified Public Accountant and auditor for area businesses and governmental bodies.

Rep. Elik has served her local community in a number of ways, including as a Foster Township Trustee and as a board member for St. Mary’s Catholic School. She has also been a member of the local Rotary Club and co-leader of the Fosterburg AG 4H Club. Elik served as a volunteer teacher with SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors. She taught financial projection classes and consulted with entrepreneurs to start businesses.

Rep. Elik was named the Associated Builders and Contractors Illinois Chapter Legislator of the Year Award at their 2023 Annual Member Awards and Apprenticeship Graduation event, and received the 2021-2022 Outstanding Freshman of the Year Award from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

In the Illinois House, Rep. Elik sees firsthand how policies coming out of Springfield can hinder economic growth because of laws enacted by politicians disconnected from the struggles of Main Street Illinoisans. Elik’s accounting experience has proven valuable to members of the General Assembly as she was appointed as Deputy Budgeteer for the House Republicans’ budget team for the 103rd General Assembly.

Erica Harriss is a proud Metro East native, born in Highland, who began her service as a State Senator in the 56th District in 2023. The 56th Senate District of Illinois includes portions of Madison and St. Clair counties.

Prior to her election to the Illinois Senate, Erica served on the Madison County Board for six years, representing its 26th District. During her time on the Board, she served as the Chairperson of the Personnel Committee and was also a member of the Finance, Government Operations, and Grants committees.

Her guiding principle as a county board member was to put the taxpayer, the parent, and the resident first, and she worked diligently to promote fiscal responsibility, while maintaining high-quality services, infrastructure, and government accountability. Now she continues to promote those priorities at the state level.

In addition to her current work in the Senate, Erica is also an entrepreneur and small business owner. Prior to opening her business in 2014, she worked in the marketing/communication field. In her free time, Erica volunteers in her community at various local charity organizations and is an active member and youth group leader at Metro Community Church.

Erica is a proud Tiger Alum graduating from Edwardsville High School before earning her college degree in Speech Communication/Public Relations from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1999.

Erica and her husband, Jeff, reside in Glen Carbon and have three children.
