About

Robert Gibbs FASLA, AICP serves as GPG’s managing director. Based in downtown Birmingham for over 30 years, GPG offers real estate market research, urban planning and real estate advising services for cities, instutuions and real estate devevelopers.  Gibbs also teaches at Harvard University and hosts the Michigan Planning Today on the Birmingham and Bloomfield cable channels.

GPG is currenty the co-planner on the Birmingham City Wide Master Plan and has co-authored Birmingam's 2016 Plan with Andres Duany.  GPG has also planned Eton Station in the Rail District, Westwood Common in Beverly Hills, Woodward landscape for Bloomfield Hills, the Village of Rochester and town centers for Howell, Macomb, Southfield, Troy, Warren and Westland.  

Gibbs is an American Socielty of Landscape Architects Fellow and member of the American Insititue of Certified Planners. Prior to founding GPG in 1988,  Gibbs served as the director for planning at Taubman Centers and an urban designer at JJR/Smith Group.
