In light of Governor Larry Hogan’s announcement regarding approval of implementation of TEXT to 9-1-1 to Maryland 9-1-1 Centers, the Carroll County Department of Public Safety cautions residents that texting to 9-1-1 is not currently an available option in Carroll County. News From Cranberry Station Elementary School

Cranberry Station Elementary School’s Diversity Club made over 250 “On the Go” Bags for a local Cold Weather Shelter.  Individuals staying at this shelter must leave by 7 am the following day. They are able to take an  “On the Go” bag when they leave in the morning. Students made two types of bags - one with toiletries which includes chap stick, hand warmers, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, gloves, and tissues. The second bag includes a drink, gum, mints, snack bars, chips, crackers and a pop tart. This is the 3rd year for putting these bags together. The first year students put together about 50 bags. The second year they put together about 115 bags and this year they put together over 250 bags. Donations came from students in Diversity Club and some staff members.... Read more
