Laredo, June 7, 2018- Local development company BLJ Land Development celebrated the groundbreaking of their newest project at the future site of Las Fincas subdivision. The event gathered people of the industry and elected officials to celebrate the occasion, which was held in conjunction with the Laredo Chamber of Commerce.

Located on EG Road and Highway 359, Las Fincas Subdivision is slated to be a large development, with mix of commercial and residential lots. With close proximity to U.I.S.D. schools and easy access to Highway 359, Las Fincas will soon be a great option for families and businesses. A total of 1,288 residential lots, 149 of them within Phase 1 of the project, will make Las Fincas Subdivision an expansion to the local housing market. The total investment of this project is estimated at $65 million dollars, which should provide hundreds of jobs and a large influx on the local economy. Juan Ramirez, Jr., one of the owners of BLJ Land Development, sees this new project as a win-win for the community. “This project is not only for the business growth purposes of our company, but for Laredo’s growth as well. It promises to bring hundreds, if not thousands of jobs in the future years and places for families to live and work.”
