Manufacturers’ Association Announces Incoming Board of Directors President & Vice President

(York, PA) – Jonathan Crothers, of Lancaster, PA, was named President and Brett Butler, of York, PA, was named Vice President of the Board of Directors of The Manufacturers’ Association. Both will assume their new roles at the next board meeting in late May. Founded in 1906, the Manufacturers’ Association is the voice of manufacturing for hundreds of member & non-member organizations, supporting manufacturers with the knowledge they need to operate, hire & train smarter.

Jonathan Crothers is the Brand Manager of Consumer Brands, and a 16-year employee of Stoner, Inc., located in Lancaster County. Jon has served as board Vice President for the past two years and as a board member since 2019. Crothers has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Penn State University and an MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. In his current role at Stoner, he is responsible for brand strategy and new product development. He previously served as a research and development scientist and operations improvement manager and holds Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Certifications. Stoner, Inc. formulates and manufactures a wide variety of branded cleaners and lubricants for consumer retailers, manufacturers, service businesses, government agencies, and universities worldwide. Stoner, Inc. is a recognized leader in the plastics, urethane, composites, rubber, electronics, detailing, and car wash industries. 

Brett Butler, an Industrial Engineer, and MBA graduate of Penn State University, has worked in various positions at Precision Custom Components (PCC), located in York, over the past 16 years. He has served on the Association board since 2022. Most recently, Brett was named as Chief Operating Officer for the Precision Components Group Management Company (PCGMG) that oversees the operations for PCC and D.C. Fabricators, a defense manufacturer in Florence, New Jersey. In this role, he will focus on workforce development, first-time quality, and advancing manufacturing technologies between the two facilities. PCC and DCF specialize in building large, complex components requiring highly specialized machining, welding, fabrication, and testing. Both companies are recognized as critical suppliers in the defense industrial base primarily building components for the Virginia and Columbia class submarine programs.

Jonathan Crothers & Brett Butler were voted into their new roles as President & Vice President at the Manufacturers’ Association’s Board of Directors meeting on March 27th.
