The Manufacturers’ Association Re-Elects Board Members for Second Terms

(York, PA)Patty Marrero, Vice President of Organization Development and Talent Acquisition at Phoenix Contact, Scott Strickler, Chief Operating Officer of New Concept Technology, and Neil Poffenberger, Plant Manager & Site Leader at Eagle Casting, LLC, were re-elected for their second term during the Board of Directors Meeting on January 24th.  Seth Hansen, Operations Director from Harley Davidson, stepped down from the Board after he completed his two three-year Board terms – Board Members are limited to two terms.  The Manufacturers’ Association is a non-profit regional trade association led by a private sector Board of Directors made up from its membership and includes manufacturing and non-manufacturing Association members. Founded in 1906, the Manufacturers’ Association is the manufacturing industry’s trade group for hundreds of member & non-member organizations in central PA and northern MD.  

 

As VP of Organization Development & Talent Acquisition of Phoenix Contact, Patty Marrero has been involved in the company’s organizational development since 2005. Phoenix Contact USA, located in Middletown, was one of the first international subsidiaries, founded in 1981, from the global company that was founded in Germany in 1923. The company celebrated its 100th anniversary last year. The U.S. Headquarters is home to a manufacturing and distribution center and employs more than 600 employees in Harrisburg, PA and an additional 250 employees throughout the US. In addition to her Board role at the Association, she also co-chairs the NextGen Advanced Manufacturing Partnership in Southcentral PA. 

 

Scott Strickler, Chief Operating Officer from New Concept Technology of York, provides strategic leadership and department guidance and oversees the daily operations of the company, which was founded in 1985 and today employs nearly 200 dedicated employees. Strickler joined NCT in 2019, following 24 years in senior operational, engineering and management roles with TE Connectivity. A resident of Dover, he is a graduate of Millersville University and has served 6 years of dedicated service to the United States Navy.

 

Neil Poffenberger, Plant Manager & Site Leader at Eagle Casting, LLC, has over 35 years’ experience in the foundry industry. Eagle Casting employs over 150 people and produces over 40,000 tons of castings per year. Neil is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision, goals, and objectives for the division, as well as managing the budget, capital investments, and customer relations. Prior to Eagle Casting, Neil served as V.P. of R.H. Sheppard Co., & Foundry Division G.M., with experience in manufacturing, engineering, pattern shop, sales, HR, quality and purchasing functions, and P&L responsibilities. A resident of Hanover, Poffenberger currently serves on the Manufacturing Advisory Committee for Penn State University and is also a board member for two joint venture companies located in China. 

 

Patty, Scott, and Neil will start their second terms at the next board of directors meeting in March 2024.
