Manufacturers’ Association Hires Program Manager to Support Recent $6 Million Training Grant

York, PA –The Manufacturers' Association appoints a new employee, Quentin Moore, to assume the role of Program Manager for the Talent and Innovation Defense Ecosystem (T.I.D.E) Project, a $6 million grant to train and expand the defense industrial base workforce. The Association, founded in 1906, is the voice of manufacturing for hundreds of member & non-member organizations, supporting manufacturers with the knowledge they need to operate, hire & train smarter. 

Quentin Moore, a 20-year U.S. Navy Veteran, joins the Association as Program Manager of the T.I.D.E. project, which will train a vibrant, highly skilled talent ecosystem for the defense industry and remove barriers to help deploy automation on the plant floor. The 5-year initiative’s goal is to increase production capabilities of the defense industrial base workforce and to strengthen our national security and US industrial competitiveness. The project will skill up individuals who are not currently in the manufacturing workforce on defense industry specific skills for careers as CNC operators/machining, welders, and industrial maintenance. Nearly twenty regional partners and manufacturers are supporting this project to grow the skilled manufacturing workforce for the U.S. defense industrial base. Quentin’s most recent role was Coordinator for Workforce Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics training at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) which he held since early 2021. Prior to his role at HACC, Quentin served as the Grants Program Manager for the United Way of Lancaster County and as the Workforce Grant Manager, Business-Education Partnership Coordinator, and Youth Programs Manager at the Lancaster County Workforce Development Board. Additionally, he has worked as an Adult Education Admissions Counselor at the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center. 

Mr. Moore has many years of experience in workforce development and higher education. He has earned a Master of Science Degree in Higher Education Enrollment Management from Capella University and a degree in Human Resource Management from Saint Leo University.
