The Manufacturers’ Association Welcomes New Board Member Brett Butler Re-elects Sam Miller to a Second Term    

 

(York, PA) – Brett Butler, General Manager of Precision Custom Components in York, PA was named to the Board of Directors of the Manufacturers’ Association at the March 23rd Board Meeting.  Sam Miller, President of Wolfgang Confectioners, York, PA was elected to a second three-year term and joined the Association’s Finance Committee.   The Association, founded in 1906, is the voice of manufacturing for hundreds of member & non-member organizations in southcentral PA & northern MD.  The Association supports manufacturers with the knowledge they need to operate, hire & train smarter.

Brett Butler, an IE and MBA graduate of Penn State University, started at Precision Custom Components as an Industrial Engineer in 2008. Brett evolved in his role within Engineering becoming the Director of Project and Industrial Engineering in 2014. In late 2020, Mr. Butler was promoted to General Manager of Precision Custom Components and has continued to serve in this leadership role. Precision Custom Components (PCC), originally founded in 1876, is a manufacturer of custom fabricated pressure vessels, reactors, casks, and heavy walled components requiring highly specialized machining, welding, and fabrication for the military, industrial and energy sectors.  PCC has a 405,000 square foot manufacturing facility located on 14 acres in York, Pennsylvania and employs nearly 250.

Sam Miller, now serving his second term on the Board and first on the Finance Committee, is a graduate of Dickinson College, previously worked for Glatfelter Paper and as VP at Anstadt Communications in Emigsville, before joining Wolfgang Confectioners as COO.  He became President and minority owner of the company in 2016 and has refocused Wolfgang’s business as a co-manufacturer of confections for some of the largest food manufacturers and retailers in the country. Wolfgang Confections was founded in 1921 and employers 400 in its new Loganville facility and its R&D center in downtown York.   Wolfgang was awarded the Manufacturer of the Year award in 2021 by the Manufacturers’ Association. 

Both gentlemen will begin their new board roles at the next board of directors meeting in late May.
