Inspired by the generosity of an elite group of trailblazing donors, enough money was raised to convince the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh (FHLB) to provide Community Homes of Lebanon County with a $750,00 grant toward the construction of phase I of the Canal Affordable Housing development in North Lebanon township. In a thank you letter to individual donors, Charlie Rush, CEO, said “In my mind and heart, you will always have a special place, because you literally placed your faith in helping Community Homes build a better community within the greater community of Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.”

Fundraising Chair Troy A. Peters, President and CEO, JBT, adds, “Helping these deserving people achieve safe affordable housing is a cause I believe in. I am humbled to be in a position where my efforts can make a difference in their lives.”

“This achievement does not mean we should rest on our laurels,” says Community Homes Board Chair Glenn Wenger, “We face the challenges of two more phases to raise an additional $ 1,750,000 to assure that construction of all twenty-three units is completed in the next two years.
