03/11/2020 09:22 AM
Lebanon Transit (LT) has been closely monitoring news on the human coronavirus (COVID -19) and all information, tips, and updates from the Center For Disease Control (CDC).

LT has updated preventative measures and has operational procedures at the ready to roll out in response if confirmed cases of the virus are reported within LT’s service region. LT is also communicating with transit agencies statewide to share information and best practices for operation procedures.

LT personnel will continue to do their part for customers and employees with daily disinfecting and cleaning of all fleet vehicles and LT public areas. Disinfectant wipes will also be available on LT Buses, Vans and at the 7th & Willow Transfer Station.

The best thing LT customers and the general public can do is familiarize themselves on the best ways to fight all types of respiratory illnesses, the flu and colds with common hygiene practices reported by the CDC:

Wash hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unsanitized hands.
Cover nose & mouth when coughing or sneezing.
Clean & disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
It is important to take proper precautions for yourself and other when you feel sick.

LT will continue to update customers on preventative measures as dictated from the CDC, PennDOT & FTA.
