Lebanon County Christian Ministries Announces Appointment of New Executive Director
Lebanon, PA
08/13/2019 09:41 AM

Lebanon County Christian Ministries’ Board of Directors announces the appointment of Bryan D. Smith as the ministry’s next Executive Director. “We are excited to have Bryan join our team and support the ministry’s purpose to share the love of Christ with the people in our community,” said Jeanne Rittle, LCCM Board President.

The appointment comes two months after LCCM’s current Executive Director, Troy Williams, submitted his resignation after fourteen and-half-years of service. “Troy has been a dedicated servant to the ministry, and we are sad to see him go; but we know he is following God’s calling to pastor a congregation in our community,” Rittle explains. Williams’ final day at LCCM is August 30th and he will start his new assignment as Senior Pastor of Calvary Church, 1330 Pennsylvania Avenue, Lebanon, on September 1st.

“Bryan is a man of integrity and sincerity,” Williams said, “He loves Jesus and loves our community. I am confident that Bryan will lead LCCM into new heights and help the ministry move forward in accomplishing its mission.”

The appointment of Smith to the Executive Director position at LCCM means he is stepping down from a twenty-four-year career with First Aid and Safety Patrol EMS. Smith has led the team as the Executive Director/Chief of Operations for the last eleven and one-half years. “Bryan has taken our organization to new opportunities and clinical excellence and we are thankful for his many years of service to our organization,” said FASP Board of Directors President, John Sirriannia. During his tenure with FASP, Smith led the organization to recognition as Ambulance Service of the Year for the Commonwealth of PA in 2009, received recognition by the American Heart Association for the care of heart attack victims at the Mission LifeLine Gold Plus level, and has integrated the service within the community through numerous programs. “Bryan has always had a vision for the future and his support of the team at FASP is unmatched,” continues Sirriannia, “He has created a culture of safety, ensured educational growth opportunities, and supported the growth of the Lebanon County EMT program.”

Born and raised in Lebanon County, Smith and his family are active members of the Grace Point Church of Nazarene, Lebanon Campus, where he serves on the vision board, leads strategic planning sessions, and sings with the worship team. Smith is active in the community as he currently serves on the Lebanon Library Board of Directors, is in his fourth year as a member of the Cornwall-Lebanon School Board, and previously served two-full terms on the Leadership Lebanon Valley Board.

During his career with FASP, Smith played a key role in the development of state-wide scope of practice changes for EMS and was named the Administrator of the Year for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2014. When asked about the transition, Smith replied, “I am excited for the new opportunity to impact this community, share God’s love with the community, and equip people to provide for their own basic functional needs.” “I began my career at FASP in 1995 as a part-time EMT just out of high school,” Smith continued, “And now, twenty-four years later, I leave FASP in a time where we are garnishing community support and leveraging relationships to take FASP to the next level. I am excited to watch what the talented team at FASP will do next.” Smith resides in Cornwall with his wife, Brooke, and their four sons.

Smith’s final day at FASP is September 6th, and he will begin his next chapter of serving the Lebanon Community at LCCM on Monday, September 9th. The Board of Directors of FASP are meeting to establish internal interim leaders in the administration and the operations and plan to appoint these positions prior to Smith’s departure.

A drop-in reception to recognize the outgoing and incoming LCCM directors is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27th, from 11:30am - 1:30pm, with formal remarks being made at 11:45am. The reception will be held at LCCM, 250 S. 7th St., Lebanon.
