PSAB Honors Myerstown Borough Individuals with Award Recognitions

The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) announced the recipients of the Association’s prestigious service awards at their recent 108th Annual Conference at the Hershey Lodge. There were multiple officials from the Borough of Myerstown who were singled out at this event.

 

The PSAB is a statewide, non-partisan, non-profit organization that serves 956 Borough governments. The organization improves and assists more than 9000 borough government leaders through legislative advocacy, research, education, and group programs.

 

Considering the size and scope of the organization, it is impressive that so many individuals from one Borough achieved special recognition at the Event.

 

The list includes:

  • The Cecil K. Leberknight Awards - which recognizes faithful and effective service by borough officials who have completed 10 years or more of borough service. Myerstown Council President Bryan L. Rittle and Vice-President Michael M. Behm were among the recipients for this award.
  • The President’s Award - given to recognize exceptionally long and faithful service by borough officials who have completed 40 or more years of borough service. Myerstown Mayor Gloria R. Ebling was one of the recipients in recognition of her 40 years of service to the Borough of Myerstown.
  • The Paul Santangelo Award - given in honor of Mr. Santangelo for his more than 60 years of service to Norristown Borough. Former Myerstown Treasurer Lee C. Smith was the recipient of this special award, for his 60 years of service to the Borough of Myerstown.
  • Certificate of Achievement - Certified Borough Officials Program - given upon completion of the Certified Borough Officials(CBO) Program, a voluntary professional development leadership course. Myerstown Borough Manager Michael McKenna was among the recipients of this important award."
