LFCU Awards Teacher of the Year

On Thursday, March 1st the Lebanon Federal Credit Union presented their first Teacher of the Year Award to Jonestown Elementary third grade teacher Mrs. Lisa Mosco.

Mrs. Mosco was nominated by numerous parents and coworkers, and community members for the award, nominations were accepted from November 2017-February 2018.
All nominees had to be a full time teacher in the Lebanon County for at minimum of 3 years in grades K-12.
They also had to demonstrate leadership and serve as a role models in their schools and in their community.

LFCU presented her with a $1,000 check and Jonestown Elementary Principal Mr. John Rizzo with a $1,000 check for the school.
Mr. Rizzo said the school will use the money for a new STEM program that they have been wanting to implement for a few years.

LFCU also awarded a runner up which went to Mrs. Lori Brown of Cedar Crest Middle School, she is a 6th grade teacher and she and her school were awarded $250.00 each.
