The Lebanon Valley College marching band, The Pride of The Valley, and several LVC music alumni will perform in London's New Year's Parade at the turn of the year, 2022-23. The Pride, which includes students from about 30 different campus programs, was selected to lead London's 36th New Year's Parade and Festival (parade running order). The event draws more than half a million live spectators and more than 600 million television viewers worldwide.

The parade will air in the Central Pennsylvania region on PBS-affiliate WITF at 8 a.m. on Jan. 1. Music lovers outside Central PA can watch the parade on the official website. The Pride, the largest marching band in the Middle Atlantic Conference, also will perform in one of London's Gala halls as part of its tour. Previous performances were held in Cadogan Hall (home to The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), St. John's Smith Square, and Westminster Central Hall.

Dr. Christopher Heffner, co-chair and associate professor of music, has directed The Pride for the past 16 years. He is available for interviews, as are the following student leaders: Sierra Fields, Alaina Gawel, and Jacob McGovern.
