WellSpan employees joined more than 1,000 volunteers who fanned out across Lebanon County to help with projects at local non-profit agencies during the United Way of Lebanon County's Day of Caring.
Groups of employees from both WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital and WellSpan Philhaven helped with projects including planting a community garden at the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA, cleaning up at the Southeast Playground, picking up trash along the Green Belt, doing maintenance work and cleanup at the YMCA's Camp Shand and painting a garage and helping with cleanup at the Coleman Park.
WellSpan Health was a presenting sponsor for the event.
In addition, a WellSpan team helped conduct healthy eating demonstrations at the Play 60 event at the YMCA.
